Creating art from paper is a therapeutic process. Calming and relaxing and very satisfying.
I have loved paper for as long as I can remember. The feel of it in my hands. The fragile nature of it. The beauty of it's patterns and the versatility you can achieve with it. I have collected it since childhood, played with and used it in my work and hobbies and always will.
Card-making is to me a very intimate affair. The time you put into it shows your true feelings towards another in the artwork. My cards are layered and detailed and thus is a labor of love.
As a memory-keeper, I also love using mainly paper to create scrapbook layouts. Adding mixed media elements also reflect my artist thumbprint. My work is not based on perfection but on an artistic expression. When you view my work, I hope you are inspired to start making paper art pieces yourself and share it with the ones you love.
My work includes works on commission. I design for: Ivytree Studio
